Training for the Brighton Marathon?

It’s nearly that time of year again, the 4th Brighton Marathon is nearly upon us! If you are in training I hope it is going well. Did you know that a yoga practice can help you to stay injury free? Through lengthening muscles and strengthening the whole body, yoga addresses the muscle tightness and imbalances that can lead to injury . Through yoga we learn to breathe properly and focus our minds – both of these benefits are helpful for runners, particularly those training in long distances. Joining a yoga class will be beneficial for the runner but having a private lesson or two is the perfect way to work with a practice specifically tailored to your needs. Please contact me if you would like to book a lesson.
The lovely practitioners at Coast Chiropractic will be on hand on the day of the marathon to offer FREE AID in the form of soft tissue work and stretching techniques. You’ll find them at 198 Church Road (map) around mile 17-18, with portable tables outside (or inside reception if it’s raining). So do stop by if you are in need! Good luck to you all!

Bring your Mum to a class for free!

To celebrate the month of Mothering Sunday, you are invited to bring your mum along to one of my classes (http://one-yoga.co.uk/brighton-and-hove-yoga-classes/) , free of charge, up until the end of March. As places are limited, please check availability first. Or if you are a mum, why not bring your son or daughter to a class (min age 14 years). If you need advice on the suitability of a particular class, please ask.

Vegfest 16/17 March

Hove Town Hall is once again hosting Vegfest this weekend to celebrate everything vegan. As a passionate vegan I would encourage you to drop by if you have time. It’s free entry and features a vast number of stalls offering everything from food and skincare to cookery demos and clothing. If you are thinking about turning vegetarian or vegan it’s a great place to get ideas and inspiration for a cruelty-free lifestyle. Just a word of advice – arrive with a good appetite and be prepared to spend a £ or two (whilst gaining a pound or two!)
