Dust away the winter cobwebs, emerge from your hibernation and welcome the uplifting energy of spring.
Suitable for experienced beginners upwards (students to have an understanding of alignment in common postures), this workshop will include:
– A grounding Yin yoga practice where we sink into stillness, allowing us to clear out the clutter and create space in our bodies and minds.
– An energising, flowing (yang) practice. The standing postures invoke a sense of grounding and finding our ‘roots’; there will also be emphasis on building strength and awareness in the back of the body and core, then engaging this support as we move into heart-lifting backbends. Along the way, we open ourselves to new possibilities with a playful delve into arm balances and inversions (please don’t be put off – Ginny will teach the more challenging postures progressively so everyone can have a go!)
– Pranayama and a delicious long relaxation will close the workshop.
