Sunday 10th April 2 – 5pm
Brighton Natural Health Centre
Join Jeremy and Ginny for their forthcoming seasonal workshop combining Qi Gong and Yin Yoga, mindfulness, meditation and relaxation.
The demands of life in the 21st century, with its ever-increasing pace of life, is a source of constant stress and mental discomfort for many. The aim of this workshop is to slow down, create comfort in our bodies and space in our minds. To explore the relationship between physical and mental peace in our practice, and to leave with new techniques to help us manage and minimise the harmful effects of stress and toxic living.
Jeremy will begin the workshop with meditation to cleanse and purify the mind before going into moving Qi Gong practice. Within the sequence movements will also be chosen that connect with the heart and calm the mind. The practice will emphasise creating mental peace through physical movement and soft, gentle repetition.
Ginny will lead the Yin Yoga practice of floor based postures held for time. The stillness acts as a form of therapy for the mind as the postures work to release tension and toxicity from our tissues. Pranayama helps to restore balance to the nervous system and a deep, guided yoga nidra relaxation will conclude the afternoon.
