The physiological effects of Yin Yoga go beyond our muscles, working deeply into our connective tissues and joints. In this workshop you will learn the importance of maintaining the health of the body’s connective tissues – ligaments and fascia – for the benefit of our structure as well as our overall health.
We will complement this work with self-myofascial release techniques, using our body weight on tennis balls and other props. Think of it as a very effective deep tissue massage that you can give to yourself! This is so beneficial for most people as we all have tight or achy spots from time to time, be it from a desk job, running, cycling, sports, carrying young children or simply getting older. You will leave this workshop with a calm mind accompanied by a greater sense of comfort and ease of movement in your body.
