Are you a deskbound worker? Do you spend a lot of time driving or sitting on public transport? Is your lifestyle sedentary?
There has been a lot of hype in the press recently about the detrimental effects of sitting too much. For good reason; too much sitting – 6 hours a day or more – has an undesirable effect on our posture and musculoskeletal system, leading to discomfort, pain and, eventually, premature wear and tear on our joints. That’s not to mention the associated health risks that come with long periods of inactivity day in, day out.
This workshop will use a combined approach of mindful Yin Yoga – floor based poses held for time – and self myofascial release using tennis balls and other props.
