Join Debbie and Ginny for this combined workshop in which you will be guided through two separate yet complementary approaches to release patterns of stress in the body and learn tools for dealing with stress in daily life.
TRE (Tension Releasing Exercises) is a natural and innovative way to release and manage stress through the body. Debbie is an Advanced Certified Provider of TRE and will guide you through the series of 7 simple exercises which activate a natural reflex of shaking that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system and encouraging the body to return back to a state of balance. As mammals our physiology is designed to experience, survive and release tension & trauma from the body. However due to human brain development and conditioning we have learnt to suppress this natural reflex to release tension like other mammals – by shaking! TRE is something to be experienced.
There will be time for discussion followed by a short break before we settle in for the second half of the afternoon.
Yoga is renowned for its ability to help us recognise and manage the effects of stress on the body and mind. Ginny will guide you through a nourishing and grounding Yin Yoga practice, in which all the postures are floor based and held for time at a moderate intensity. You will also learn specific breathing techniques that induce relaxation through the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system along with simple mindfulness and techniques, providing you with the tools to lead a calmer, healthier and happier life.
