Less is more: Yin & Myofascial Release
Saturday 30th November 2-5pm
at Brighton Natural Health Centre
I invite you to my final workshop of 2019, folks!
The emphasis in this workshop will be to settle into the poses at about 50% of our fullest capacity for stretch or range of motion, whereas typically we practiceYin by finding our ‘edge’ at about 70%.
By doing less, the connective tissues of the body will become stronger and more resilient as the cells will be stimulated to produce more collagen and elastin fibres. This approach is very helpful for those who err on the side of being very flexible or hyper-mobile, as well as those in mid-life and beyond and athletic or sporty types.
Self-myofascial release using balls and other props will complement the postures and aid the hydration of the fascia in the body.
All are welcome, from devoted and occasional Yin Yogi’s – to complete beginners to yoga; those new to self myofascial release and of course, the growing number of you with your own myofascial balls and tools who have learned how to incorporate this self-care goodness into your daily lives.
Price: £30 / £27 advance (book by Fri 15th Nov)
Book now: online or call BNHC 01273 600010.
Venue: Brighton Natural Health Centre, 27 Regent Street, Brighton BN1 1UL. map
